On March 24th (Thursday), 2022, FedEx Express has eliminated the “out-of-pickup-area surcharge” for Japan outbound shipments except for the entire Okinawa prefecture. Hereafter, you will no longer be charged the out-of-pickup-area surcharge for the shipment from Hokkaido to Kyushu (excluding the entire Okinawa prefecture).
As you may know, FedEx international shipments picked up from the remote and less-accessible locations are assessed an out-of-pickup-area surcharge. After this notice, FedEx users in Japan located any parts from Hokkaido to Kyushu will not have to pay this surcharge.
